Harr harr hurray! We made it: We have reached 100.000 Vikings. Thanks for your trust!
That means 1 hour of free calls per day to other Mobile Vikings and a celebration on June 2 in Oostende.

Free calls

As promised you can call other Mobile Vikings for free one hour per day.

  • The advantage is valid from 1/6/2012 until 31/5/2013.
  • If you have an active bundle (SMS and internet) on 1/6/2012 or if you reload as of 1/6/2012, you get this extra bundle.
  • One hour equals 60 minutes, starting at 00:01 and ending at midnight.

VikingDay on June 2

We want to celebrate with you, at the beach of Oostende (not far from Kinepolis, check out the VikingSpot). Subscription is required, so do it now!! Subscriptions close on May 25.

What to expect?

  • 2 – 2:30 pm: we wait for you at the beach in Oostende. You get a warm welcome and tickets for drinks and a hot dog.
  • 2:30 – 3pm: Hans throws his ax and like that the winner of the journey to Norway and of the VikingCard with €250 on it will be known (more information via the website of VikingLand.
  • 3pm – 5:30 pm: want to know with whom you can call for free the next year? Meet the other Vikings via a ‘get to know-event’, a game of Viking Kubb, surf lessons (if the weather is fine so not the virtual stuff ;-) ), war tugging or in the cozy corner.
  • Get to know the website www.CheapTickets.be and play the ‘Choose & Win’ game. Maybe you’ll win one of the discount codes for airplane tickets (€ 10 or € 20). The main price? A citytrip for 2!

Tip from Doctor Viking #5: How does the bundle of free calls to other Mobile Vikings work?

Soon (the month after we have reached 100.000 Vikings – so we assume from June 2012 onwards), you will be able to call other Mobile Vikings for free one hour per day. We already want to let you know what this means exactly:

The advantage is valid from 1/6/2012 until 31/5/2013. If you have an active bundle (SMS and internet) on 1/6/2012 or if you top up as of 1/6/2012, you get the extra bundle of 1 hour of free calls per day to other Mobile Vikings.

After your top-up, it may take a few minutes before the call bundle is activated. This call bundle expires together with the SMS and data bundle. The free calls don’t apply for other operators like Base, Proximus or Mobistar. It applies for non-roaming calls.

Just like the other free advantages in the bundle (1000 SMS, 1000 SMS to other Mobile Vikings and 2GB) the free call bundle is valid for one month. It expires together with your sms and data bundle after one month and cannot be cumulated like your phone credit. When you top up again, your free call bundle is valid again. In other words: you get this advantage together with the other free advantages, until 31/5/2013.

You get 1 hour of free calls per day to other Mobile Vikings, which comes down to 60 minutes. The 60 minutes are valid during one day, from 00:01am to 12:00pm. This is important because a phone call that continues to the next day, won’t be added automatically to your free minutes of that day. Concretely: if you call from 11:55 till 00:05, the last 5 minutes will be charged from your phone credit. This because the free call bundle cannot be activated during a phone call.

You can call for free until 31/5/2013. In other words: the advantage ends on 31/5/2013 for every Viking. So if you topped up on 20/5/2013, the free call bundle expires on 31/5/2013. The other free advantages remain valid (1000 sms, 1000 sms to other Mobile Vikings and 2GB).

That is what the romantic tragicomedy ‘&ME’ is about, which will be released in February 2013. The shoots are taking place in Belgium right now.
On May 22, the crew will be at Central Station in Brussels. We can invite 4 Vikings with their partner, friend or colleague to those shoots (so we give away 4X2 entrances to the shoots), at 6pm.
